Ticket Auction

April 15, 2015


A ticket auction will be held on Saturday, April 18 at Oxford HIlls Comprehensive High School.  Doors will open at 11AM and the raffle begins at 1PM.

Dustin Vachon is a senior at Oxford Hills Technical School and has recently won first place in the Maine SkillsUSA competition for Automotive Collision Repair.

Please come to the auction to support Dustin's trip to Louisville, KY where he will represent the state of Maine in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference.

Recruitment is in Full Swing!

January 8, 2015


January 7th (green day) and January 21st (gold day) are the dates of our OHTS Informational Fair. All programs will have a table set up in the hallway between the forum and main office with information about their programs. Students are e ncouraged to visit the programs on those days with questions or to see an instructor for an interview.

All applications are due January 23, 2015 and acceptance lists will be posted on February 9th in time for OHCHS scheduling.

Tech Challenge Night

January 8, 2015


We are gearing up for this year's Tech Challenge night which will be held on January 20th! We have also scheduled a snow date of Jan. 22. The students in all 20 of our tech programs will be competing in various competitions from 3-6 PM followed by an awards ceremony at 7 PM. These competitions are open to the public and we highly encourage family, friends, and community members to come cheer them on!

Auto Tech Drag Race

June 10, 2014


The 2014 Automotive Technology classes all participated in rebuilding a '36 Chevy Street Rod and a '78 Ford F-150 2-wheel drive truck.  The Automotive Drivetrains class rebuilt the engine on the '78 Ford and the rear axles on both vehicles while the Auto Tech 1-3 classes worked on the brakes, electrical systems, etc.

After working all year on these projects, they coordinated with Oxford Plains Dragway in order to have the instructors drag race the two vehicles.  To see the results, please...

SkillsUsa State Competitions in Bangor

April 2, 2014


OHTS students competed in the annual SkillsUSA Maine State Leadership and Skills Conference in Bangor on March 13 and 14, 2014.  Seven earned medals.  Earning gold were Carly Sauro in Advertising Design, Kira Dube in Photography, and Connor Gordon in Internetworking.  Earning silver were Sophie Racine in Photography, Connor Heaward in Collision Repair Technology, and Katie Davis in Medical Terminology.  Earning bronze was Andrew Steees in Related Technical Math. Sports Management Class Design Winner Wall.

November 14, 2013


This year in our Sports Management class we decided to recognize our school wins by putting up a Vikings Winner's Wall.  This wall was next to our classroom and it brought lots of color and spirit to our school hallway.  For this fall, whenever a team won their game/match, we showed the wonderful efforts of the players by putting their sport, the team they played, and the score on the wall.  Each individual sport was color coded for easy visibility and recognition.  This has been such...

Computer Technology Class Helps Deploy New Computers

September 18, 2013


Oxford Hills Technical School's Computer Technology II class worked along side the Oxford HIlls Comprehensive High School's Technology Department in deploying computers to the students at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High school.  Each student received a new Mac Book Air for use during the school year.  The Computer Technology Class was a great help in getting the computers to the students and working with anyone who might need extra help.
